Richmond sells out

LAST RIR SEPTEMBER 9 WINSTON CUP TICKET PURCHASED - NONE REMAIN SALES CONTINUE FOR SUPERTRUCK, GRAND NATIONAL & JUNE USAC SILVER CROWN

RICHMOND, VA - Ticket orders for the last remaining of the 83,000 available seats to Richmond International Raceway's September 9 Miller Genuine Draft 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race were received on Tuesday, May 2nd, the third day of ticket sales for the event. There are no tickets remaining for the September 9 Miller Genuine Draft 400.

Richmond International Raceway has taken the unprecedented step of notifying all major media sources and ASKING FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE IN NOTIFYING RACE FANS that no tickets remain to the event. All incoming Raceway phone lines and fax lines continue to be jammed with calls from prospective Winston Cup ticket purchasers. Every mailed ticket request will be answered in writing absolutely as soon as possible, whether filled or not.

There are tickets available for Richmond International Raceway's two September NASCAR companion events on Winston Cup weekend - the FAS MART SUPERTRUCK SHOOTOUT on Thursday night, September 7th and the AUTOLITE PLATINUM 250 "SHOWDOWN AT SUNDOWN!" Friday night, September 8.

Also tickets to the June 17 USAC CHAMPIONSHIP TWINS for Silver Crown and Formula Ford 2000 cars go on sale May 15.
