Rockingham 1994 recap

GOODWRENCH 500, Rockingham, North Caroline -- Some doubters believed Rusty wallace would find victory difficult to achieve after his Penske South team made the switch from Pontiac to Ford for 1994. But it didn't take Wallace long to prove the doubters wrong.

Wallace swept the naysayers under the rug at "the Rock," leading 346 of the scheduled 492 laps and beating runner-up Sterling Marlin by a gaping 5.15 seconds.

Rick Mast finished a career-high third, with Martin forth and Ernie Irvan fifth.
