NASCAR Winston Cup Series Race No. 10 - May 5, 1996 Sears Point Raceway
Unofficial Race Speed: 77.653 mph
Rusty Wallace was fined $25,000 for having an illegal roof line. NASCAR post race inspection showed that the roof height was 3/18th's of an inch lower than the required 51 inches. Apparently a right rear shock had collapsed and the right front jack screw plate was damaged. Since there was no competitive advantage, NASCAR levied a fine only.
