Another groove has slowly developed in the last two years, but we really need the middle and upper grooves to open up. The racing there will get better as the track ages and the asphalt starts to wear. Even if there are multiple grooves there, you still have to have a lot of downforce in the turns so you can limit the amount of time you're not on the gas."

On the season:

"We had a great car at Daytona and we dodged all the wrecks. We've moved up four positions in the point standings in the last six races, so we're turning the corner. Hopefully we have all the bad luck behind us for the year and we can continue our march up the standings.
