BUSCH: Daytona: Stacy Compton preview

Compton on Daytona:

"Daytona is awesome. I love everything about this place, the history, the atmosphere, and the racing. I've always run well here. The race marks the start of a new year and that brings with it a lot of excitement and expectations."

Compton's Comments:

"This is the same car that qualified 6th last February and led 16 laps before a flat tire dropped us from contention late in the race. I wish we had posted a faster time at the test, but the team has worked hard on the car since the test. I'm excited about our prospects for the race and for the season."

Crew Chief's Comments:

"This time last year my wife was ill and undergoing cancer surgery. She's been through a lot in the last twelve months but is doing great now. Coming back to Daytona just reminds me how blessed I've been over the last year. This is the first time since 1997 that we've had the luxury of returning to Daytona with the same driver who we worked with the previous year. That continuity alone is going to be a big benefit for this team this year. We've been working hard all winter, it's time to drop the rag and see all of that work pay off."
