BUSCH: Ken Schrader Bristol Notes

Ken Schrader has only two starts at Bristol Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Busch Series. The last time was in the fall race of 1994, where he finished the race second to Kenny Wallace.

"I've had the opportunity to race a lot of short tracks in my career, but nothing compares to Bristol," said Ken Schrader. "I love the high banks and there is a lot of opportunity to pass. The last two times we competed in the Winston Cup car at Bristol, we had two top-10 finishes, so we feel confident about our set-up for the No. 15 Oakwood Homes Busch Series car."

The Busch Series car Andy Petree Racing is taking to Bristol Motor Speedway is the same car they ran earlier this year at Daytona and Richmond.

"After Daytona, we converted the car to a short track car," said Jeff Swann, crew chief of the No. 15 Oakwood Homes Chevrolet. "We fixed it up after the wreck at Richmond and have been using it as a back-up. Our Indianapolis car is a short track car, but we need a high rail car to run at Bristol."

Schrader's two children, Dorothy (8) and Sheldon (2) will be part of the group of children from the Motor Racing Outreach singing the Star Spangled Banner before the start of the NASCAR Winston Cup race on Saturday, August 22 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
