THE TRACK: A one-mile symmetrical paved oval with only 9.25 degrees of banking in both corners. Located on the state fair grounds, races have been held at this historic track since 1903.
TV/RADIO: TV on FX at 1:30 pm/ Radio on MRN at 1:30 pm
COMPTON ON MILWUAKEE: "I've always loved racing at the Milwaukee Mile. The fans are great and really support the race. The track is flat and you definitely have to set up the car so that it turns in the middle of the corners so that you can get a good head start down the straightaways."
CREW CHIEF COMMENTS: "The flat tracks haven't been our strong suit this season, so we spent our "off week" last week testing in St. Louis. I think it was the best test session that this team has ever had. We found some things that Stacy really liked and I think we will be strong at Milwaukee as a result of the test."
DOUBLE DUTY: Stacy Compton will perform double duty at the Milwaukee Mile this weekend. Winston Cup will not race this weekend, so Compton will run the NASCAR Craftsman Truck race on Saturday to tune-up for the Busch Race on Sunday. The Kingsford pit crew - "The Chippenwhales" - will arrive in Milwaukee a day early to pit the truck for Compton in Saturday's race.
