FIELD: 30 Cars. Twenty-seven starting positions will be determined through two laps of qualifying. Two additional positions will be available to any driver in the top 30 current 2000 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Championship point standings who has not qualified for one of the original 27 positions, provided eligible driver attempts to qualify in qualifying events. Official point standings and not time trial speed will determine these positions. One additional position will be assigned any Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Champion driver who participated in the 1999 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring and who did not qualify for one of the original 27 starting positions.

THE RACE: The Pabst Blue Ribbon 150 will be the 14th of 18 races on the 2000 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Schedule. Cautions will count towards total laps and the race can end with a checkered flag or a green-white-checkered situation.

EVENT REVIEW: Rookie of the Year contender Zach Brewer surprised everyone at Bristol Motor Speedway in 1999 when he won from a backstretch pitting spot in only his fifth series start. Making his win even more spectacular was the fact that he started in 30th position of the 30 car field after using a provisional starting spot. 1999 Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring National Champion Robert Huffman started the race from the pole position and was looking for his fourth straight series win. Huffman was strong but pitted just after the 100-lap mark for a mandatory fuel stop. Brewer inherited the lead at this point and led for the next 25 laps. Over the final 25 laps, Brandon Head, Huffman, and Brewer challenged each other for the lead. Head took the point and appeared to be in position for the win until Brewer made a daring three-wide pass in turn one with just two-and-a-half laps from the checkered flag to record his first and only career win.
