(West Salem, WI - June 6, 2000) For the fourth time this season, rains in West Salem forced officials at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway to postpone the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series program, this time after getting qualifying and heats for the Thunderstox in.

The rain-out washed out the efforts of British champion Colin White to race in the Midwest Fuels Late Model feature, although he qualified with a respectable time of 21.005 seconds. White was vacationing in the United States, and entered in a Dan Navrestad-prepared car.

Tony Bagstad and Paul Proksch tied for the quick time at 20.297 seconds, with Bagstad taking the top position based upon his second qualifying lap. Dan Gilster was the quick timer for the Ray Hutson Chevrolet Grand National Sportsman division, clocking in at 22.704 seconds to top Tony Ciano, who timed in at 22.776 seconds.

The United Auto Supply Thunderstox got their heat races in, with Al Bartels, Dale Jacob and Kelly Schendel taking the heat wins.=20
