Pawuk's Pontiac GTO Gets A New Look For Its Next Outing
RICHFIELD, OH 7/16/06 "I wish we could have been racing at the Mile-High Nationals this weekend," admitted Mark "Cowboy" Pawuk from his race shop in Ohio, "but after debuting our new jerry Haas-built car in St. Louis a few weeks ago we had to do some finishing work on the car, and we also felt it was important to get our color scheme completed.
"We're going to appear in the same basic silver with blue and orange highlights that we brought back with our last GTO beginning at last year's U.S. Nationals, but graphic artist Bruce Tatman has made some very cool changes to the car's overall appearance, and I think our fans are going to like what they see.
"We're definitely running the remaining two races on the West Coast swing at Seattle next weekend and then Sonoma, California the week after that, so we've really missed just the one outing.
We were encouraged by the way performed in its maiden outing in St. Louis, but the conditions in Seattle will probably be almost ideal, so we'd better have our act together if we hope to make the show, but I'm confident we will.
But regardless of that, the one thing I'm positive of is that the fans are going to like the way our car looks. I just hope the performances match its appearance!"
