Team JEG'S Pit Notes
It would be a drastic understatement to say that people are paying attention to the familar yellow and black JEG'S cars. The last time that both Pro Stock cars went down the track was in the final round of the '99 NHRA season opener, the AutoZone Nationals in Pomona. It was the first time in NHRA history that two brothers went head to head in a final round of NHRA Pro Stock competition. The JEG'S Team proved that the two car team can work to your advantage, they are clearly the team to watch this weekend at the CSK Nationals.
Troy Coughlin / #24 Pro Stock:
Troy noted, "It's a great feeling to make a solid run right out of the trailer. The second session we over stepped over the boundry on the set up for the track conditions. I'm extremely confident that the team will be ready for session three tomorrow morning." Troy is in the number three spot going into the third of four sessions.
Jeg Coughlin, Jr / #2 Pro Stock:
"The first session produced a great baseline to work from. We just got a little too aggressive on the set up for session #2. We learned a lot today and we know more about what the track wants," said Jeg. Jeg currently sits in the #4 position after the second of four scheduled qualifying sessions.
