WHAT: 42nd annual K&N Filters NHRA Winternationals, the first of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade championships. Drag Racing Series. Professional competitors in three categories earn points leading to 2002 NHRA POWERade championships. Sportsman competitors in seven categories earn points leading to 2002 NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing Series championships.
WHERE: Pomona Raceway, Pomona, Calif. Track is located off I-10 at Fairplex Drive. Go north on Fairplex drive to the Fairplex.
WHEN: Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 7-10.
PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $1.9 million.

Qualifying and sportsman eliminations, 8:15 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Qualifying and sportsman time trials, 8:15 a.m. to 7 p.m.

FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 10:30 a.m.
TELEVISION:
Saturday, Feb. 9, ESPN will televise 90 minutes of early qualifying highlights at 4:30 p.m. (ET) and ESPN2 will televise one
hour of late qualifying highlights at 6 p.m. (ET).
Sunday, Feb. 10, ESPN will televise two hours of eliminations at 5 p.m. (ET).
