British racing driver Daniel Clarke this weekend heads to Croft (North Yorkshire) for rounds three and four of the 2004 UK Formula Ford Championship. The Highland Spring sponsored 20 year old is in high spirits after two solid results in the season opener at Donington Park earlier this month and heads to Croft just three points adrift of championship leader Valle Makela.
Since the opening rounds of the championship Daniel has completed two days of testing at Croft and Castle Combe. In both tests he ended the day at the top of the timesheets and was pleased with the progress that both he and the team have made. Clarke now heads to Croft confident that he can continue his good form.
"I really like the Croft circuit, in previous years there I have started on the front row and taken a win and a podium. It is fast and demanding and always great to race there and I like to think I'm more suited to that than Donington"
"I have found it easy to find pace at Croft in the past and given JLR's approach to setting the car up and how well we are all working together I am confident that this is the best chance I have had so far to win a race there"
