Stefan celebrates first car win at Brands Hatch
After his podium success in Round 2 of the Formula Palmer Audi series at Silverstone, Stefan continued to shine at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit last weekend. He took a superb victory in Round 4 - his first in cars - as well as a brace of strong top five finishes in Rounds 3 and 5.
The victory came in only Stefan's 10th car race, ten years after Justin won the first-ever FPA championship. He started second on the grid, but hunted down polesitter and Round 3 winner Tim Bridgman, passing him down Pilgrim's Drop and taking the lead with four laps to go. Luciano Bacheta was third.
"It's an incredible feeling to win for the first time," said Stefan. "It means a lot to me, especially as I didn't win a race in karting last year. I've got to thank my dad Keith for being so supportive."
Second-placed Tim was sporting in congratulating Stefan: "He put me under a lot of pressure and drove very well. He used the boost button to perfection."
Stefan is now second in the FPA championship and, with that first win under his belt, he can't wait to get to Snetterton for Rounds 6, 7 and 8 on 13th May.
