Title the target for teenager Jack
Jack Clarke added his name to the ever-growing list of Formula Palmer Audi contenders after he officially confirmed his entry for the 2007 season.
The 19-year-old stepson of former Formula 1 and BTCC ace Julian Bailey comes to FPA with a year's experience of single-seater racing in Formula BMW. Having set the fastest testing time of 2007 so far at Bedford Autodrome, Jack goes into the 20-race season confident of conquering the competition.
"In Formula BMW I learned that lots of people can be competitive and I think that will be even more evident in FPA," said Clarke, with only six weeks until the season gets underway at Silverstone. "There's not going to be any room for error, so keeping my focus for the whole season is a top priority."
With some of the UK's most famous racing circuits on the calendar, Jack is eagerly awaiting the second meeting of the season, where FPA will join A1GP on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. "I love the GP loop! I drove it in BMWs last year, but it was pouring with rain and I had to be careful. Hopefully this year it'll be dry and I can really open up the throttle!"
Jack is hoping to put in some more testing mileage at Bedford Autodrome in the coming weeks before the season commences at Easter.
