Monza qualifying

4th Round. MONZA 24/06/2000

In the qualifying session there was no satisfaction for the Durango Benetton Junior Team. Pavicevic will start from 14th position and the North Irishman Dino Morelli from 17th .

Andrej Pavicevic: "My first run was cut short when I damaged the nose on one of Monzas notorious kerbs. With a low downforce setting the car was well balanced but just too slow at the end of the day. Both cars are down the order so lots of work needs to be done overnight to get us back to the pointy end of the field."

Dino Morelli: "I'm not satisfied with my performance . The car was well balanced but I could not put a lap together. This morning was my first chance to drive this car. In the free practice I only did 10 laps because of a mechanical problem at the Roggia where I was forced to retire. We made some modifications to the set up so this afternoon it was better. On my fastest lap there were yellow flags so I had to slow down loosing 8 tenths which would have placed me on the 5th row."

Marco Codello (sporting director): "Not a good performance because we didn't reach the full potential of the team or drivers. As a natural consequence tomorrow we have to be on the defensive to get maximum race results."=09
