The Fastest Indian in the World Takes Superleague Formula Win

Narain Karthikeyan managed to turn his Brands Hatch woes around this weekend taking Race 2 honors. The Fastest Indian in the world stamped his authority on the second race and scored some much needed points for the championship.

It may not have been the fairy tale race win for Karthikeyan. The race race ending with a red flag instead of the chequered flag, but it was all smiles in the Atech Reid camp for their new member of the team. Narain held the lead from start to finish and won convincingly, he was at one stage over 8 seconds ahead of second place.

"It is a fantastic victory. I am over the moon, what can I say?" he stated. " I am glad to get points on the board for PSV and to take a Superleague Formula win."

Narain, who has never lost at Brands Hatch, can safely keep that record after this weekend. The ex Formula One driver will now head back to the United States of America to continue his NASCAR truck championship season.

FC Porto driver, Alvaro Parente finished the race in 4th place, helping him qualify for the Super-Final.

"We will start off grid 5 for the Super Final and I will hope that I will be able to move forward from there." He stated.

Yelmer Buurman finished the race in 12th position when it was declared. He also qualified for the Super Final, so Atech Reid had two representatives in the coveted 'dash for cash'.

James Walker finished the race with a solid 10th place, his second top 10 finish of the weekend and Andy Soucek rounded out the field for the Sporting Lisbon team, after the reverse grid race.
