Other 1997 Notes...

Perris Auto Speedway will be the SCRA's OFFICIAL Home Track with 20 events scheduled for each of the next three years.

Hoosier Tires will be the boots of choice again this year, completing a 3 year contract which has been beneficial to both parties. The Hoosier series sponsorship has been a major contributor to the year end point fund.

JE Pistons returns as sponsor of The Passing Masters' Dash and Dura Light will again fatten the purse of the fast qualifier at each event. MPD, KSE and Sway-A-Way are back as contingency sponsors and the SCRA would like to thank all of the above companys for their continued support.

The SCRA's skins game will again be paying 100 "Sweep Dollars" to any driver pulling the hat trick of winning his/her heat, Passing Masters' Dash, and Main event in the same night. The cash will roll over to the next event if no sweep is made.

New for 1997 will be $300 to the starters of each main.
