C-SET adds the Hooters Pro Cup Series to its Primetime Schedule

Longs, SC--C-SET (Carolinas Sports Entertainment Television) recently announced that it will pick up all the Hooters Pro Cup Series' scheduled events for the remainder of 2005.

C-SET, the first-ever regional sports and entertainment network to exclusively serve the states of North and South Carolina, had been airing the Southern Division races on a tape-delayed basis, but the growing entertainment network, owned by Robert L. Johnson, the majority owner of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats and WNBA's Charlotte Sting, will broadcast the remaining Northern Division events as well.

All races will air at 8 p.m. on Monday nights following the initial Saturday broadcast on SPEED Channel.

The network's first affiliate is Time Warner Cable and C-SET will be initially distributed as a digital basic channel on all Time Warner Cable systems throughout North and South Carolina. Time Warner Cable, the region's dominant cable system operator, covers 60% of the total 2.7 million cable households in the Carolinas and currently reaches approximately 600,000 subscribers with its digital basic service. Negotiations are ongoing with other distributors in the two states.

C-SET, which will be based in Charlotte, N.C., is a round-the-clock, year-round sports and entertainment network. The network features a range of programming options from throughout the Carolinas, including the Bobcats and Sting, college and high school sports, motor sports, minor league baseball and hockey, outdoor sports, arena football, equestrian and extreme sports.
