DRISSI SETS FASTEST TIME IN WET MORNING TRANS-AM WARM-UP AT DENVER
DENVER (Aug. 13, 2005) -- Tomy Drissi set the quickest time during Saturday's morning warm-up for this afternoon's Cytomax Sport Drink 100 Trans-Am Series race at the Grand Prix of Denver. Drissi (No. 5 Four Brothers -- The Movie Jaguar XKR) turned in a 1.25.555-minute time around the 1.657-mile temporary street course.
Pole winner and Drissi's teammate Paul Gentilozzi was second fastest in the No. 1 Jaguar R Performance XKR, ahead of Klaus Graf (No. 7 Jaguar R Performance XKR). John Baucom (No. 86 MAP Quality Engineering/SoftwareToolbox.com Ford Mustang) and Joey Scarallo (No. 06 Cytomax/Toyo Tires Chevrolet Corvette) completed the top five.
The Cytomax Sport Drink, Round 7 of the 2005 Trans-Am Championship and part of the CENTRIX Financial Grand Prix of Denver presented by PacifiCare weekend, is scheduled for this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. MDT. Today's race will air on a tape-delayed basis, Saturday, Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. EDT on SPEED Channel.
