Paul Fix Clinches First Trans-Am GT-1 Class Win at Cytomax Sport Drink 100
Denver, CO (August 14, 2004) - Paul Fix's return to Trans-Am has been fruitful driving the #77 Stop Flex/ Hotel Monaco/ Buca Di Beppo/ 9News.com-NBC Mustang Cobra. Fix Motorsports received the new racecar 4 weeks ago, Paul and the Fix Motorsports Team worked day and night to prepare for his return to the Motorock Trans-Am series. Starting at Road America, they earned a second in class in GT-1, followed by great success here at the Centrix Denver Grand Prix where Paul finished 1st in class for the GT-1 class and 12th overall.
"We're thrilled with our win in GT_1, it's great that Trans-Am has a place for GT-1 cars. It was a hard "no caution" race and had to drive all 61 laps at the max," said Paul Fix.
The Trans-Am Series for the BF Goodrich Tires Cup will race at the Cytomax Sport Drink 100 in Denver. The race will be broadcast LIVE on HDNet, with tape-delayed highlights coverage on Spike TV's popular "Dangerous Curves" timeslot, Sunday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. (EDT, PDT).
