Kerry Alexander, driver of the #38 Wickes Lumber/ICI Dulux Paints/Trilithic Racing Camaro, makes his first appearance at the historic Laguna Seca raceway. This weekend's Trans-Am event is the 389th event in the 35 year Trans-Am Series and will be held in conjunction with the Global Center Sports Car Championships.
Alexander suffered a dismal outing in Houston, succumbing to mechanical difficulties. His crew worked feverishly to get the car back on the track, only to retire a lap later. This weekend Alexander will try to capitalize on the team's newfound speed. The race will be 45 laps on the 2.238 mile permanent road course.
"I have never seen the Laguna Seca track," said Alexander. "I like natural road courses with a lot of elevation changes. After the luck we
had in Houston, we really want to finish well and gain ground in the points championship."
Speedvision will televise Sunday's race on a taped-delay basis on October 16th at 8:00 p.m.
