Sonoma, Calif. - Anthony Lazzaro, driving the number 36 Motorcity True Performance Viper, got his first taste of Sears Point in a Trans-Am car this morning. Lazzaro is filling in for the injured Tommy Archer.
Lazzaro ended the first practice session in ninth with a time of 1:39.097 and average speed of 91.547. "I am really happy with the car, we have to adjust some driver comfort items for visibility and seating position, but so far so good. The car is handling pretty good, we have a push in a few spots, but some minor adjustments will help get our lap times down. I hit a rock that was in the track and that cost a little time in the pits. I think we have a lot of speed left in the car, I am working up to it slowly," commented Lazzaro.
"Anthony is taking a methodical approach and is providing good feedback," said Joe Tranchida, owner Cinjo Racing. "I am confident that he will be towards the front in the race."
