Rookie Paul Fix Finishes 24th Running On 6 Cylinders
Paul started 19th on the grid when the green flag dropped, he took charge and moved through the field and got up to 15th when the rear end blew up on lap 18 and sent Paul into a spin.
At lap 25, the engine decided to drop down to 7 cylinders. The crew supported Paul through the race, then the engine lost a second cylinder and Paul came in for a pit stop. The crew hustled to get the engine running so Paul could complete the race.
Paul Fix - "While the season has not been bad for the team, with some great finishes, it has been a little exasperating . Except for the 10th in Detroit and the 12th at Mosport. But all that is history as we now have a chance to show the potential of the car and to regain a foothold on the rookie points. We will try again at Portland."
