Road America: Paul Fix qualifying notes

PAUL FIX TO START 3rd IN GT1 AT GENERAC 500

August 20, 2005 - Elkhart Lake, WI - Paul Fix is having a frustrating and disappointing weekend in the #77 Stopflex/ Pennzoil/ Drive! Magazine Mustang; plagued with transmission issues he was unable to complete the full qualifying session.

Fix will start 12th overall and 3rd in the GT1 class. The Fix Motorsports Mustang has achieved four straight GT1 class poles and three victories in four events in the Trans-Am Series.

"Obviously I'm very let down, we've successfully earned five consecutive GT1 poles, so this is unusual for us to be in this position," commented Paul. "I know there is definitely better times to be achieved, so we will run our game plan for the race and look to earn another GT1 win."

The 4.048-mile road course located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is Trans-Am Series, Round 8.

The Rumble at the Road, is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19-21, 2005. Sunday's race, which starts at 10:25 a.m. CDT, will air Sunday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. EDT on SPEED Channel.
