CRA SPRINTS RETURN TO PERRIS SATURDAY
FARIA UPSETS THE FIELD IN KINGS SPEEDWAY 30-LAPPER
Defending Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Car Champion Rip Williams of Yorba Linda, Calif. leads the series back to Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway Saturday, holding a 70-point lead over Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif.
Williams finished second to Ricci Faria in Saturday night's race at Kings Speedway in Hanford, Calif., while Gardner was 19th and third-ranking Cory Kruseman was 17th.
Faria, of Visalia, Calif., caught Rickie Gaunt on lap 10 and led the rest of the way to win Saturday's 30-lapper over Williams, R.J. Johnson, Jason York and Mike Spencer.
Gardner was again the fastest qualifier at Hanford, posting the fastest qualifying time for a USAC/CRA race for the 11th time this season!
