HINES, BACON, SWANSON & SINZIG TOP EARL's POINT EARNERS; PERRIS CRA RACE OFFERS EARL'S POINTS FRIDAY
The battle for Earl's Fast Qualifier Championships continued this past week and participants in the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series will compete for additional points this Friday when the series visits Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway. Series point leader Mike Spencer is the Earl's point leader in the USAC/CRA series, 29 ahead of Cory Kruseman.
Tracy Hines bolted to the top of the K & N Silver Crown Earl's points by winning the pole for Saturday's "James River Grounds 100" at Richmond, Va., while he continues to lead the Earl's points in the National Sprint Series, although Brady Bacon was Friday's fastest Richmond qualifier.
Tanner Swanson extended his lead in the Western Sprint Earl's standings by posting fast qualifying time Saturday at Tracy, Calif., while Viktor Sinzig was Saturday's fastest Tracy Midget qualifier. He's fourth in the latest Earl's standings behind leader Scott Pierovich.
