FF: California series Perris preview

Defending USAC Ford Focus Midget Car Champion Todd Hunsaker of Chino Hills, Calif. leads the California Ford Focus South Series standings as the USAC series visits Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway this Saturday night. A 20-lap feature event is on tap at the 1/2-mile dirt oval.

Hunsaker holds a 49-point lead over Josh Lakatos entering the race, the third at Perris this season.

Lakatos won at Perris in the March 22 series opener and Chris Rahe was the winner in the July 5 race, while Hunsaker has posted a third and fourth in the two Perris races.

So far this season, the California Ford Focus Midget Car Series has produced eight different race winners, with Lakatos' four victories the most for any driver so far.
