SBORO LEADS NORTHEAST FOCUS MIDGETS TO MAINE

INDIANAPOLIS -- Michael Sboro of Watertown, N.Y. will lead the Northeast Ford Focus Midget Car Series on Saturday to USAC's first ever race in the state of Maine, which will take place at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford.

Sboro has two victories on the season, including the region's event July 29 at Adirondack International Speedway in Lowville, N.Y. Nick Wean of Phillipsburg, N.J., who trails Sboro by nine points, won the July 30 round at Chemung Speedrome in Chemung, N.Y.

Maine is one of seven states still to host a USAC-sanctioned event. Other states include Alaska, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakoda, Rhode Island and Wyoming.
