Jessup Scores Third at IRP: Sprintweek Up Next
CAMBY, Ind. -- Marc Jessup hopes to carry momentum off two strong runs on the pavement at the Toledo Speedway and Indianapolis Raceway Park into the biggest week of racing for the Valvoline USAC National Sprint Car series during Valvoline Indiana Sprintweek.
Jessup and his Jessup Racing team driving the Bill Davis Racing sponsored Beast chassis scored an 8th place finish after a disappointing 20th place qualifying effort in Friday night's event at Toledo.
Saturday went much smoother as Jessup scored a third place finish in the feature at IRP. This was Jessup's best finish during the 2004 season.
"Not to jinx myself, but hopefully we have turned our bad luck around," said Jessup.
The team will now head into Valvoline Indiana Sprintweek riding the momentum from this past weekend Thursday at Twin Cities Raceway Park, Friday at Gas City I-69 Speedway, Saturday at Lincoln Park Speedway, and Sunday at Tri-State Speedway before a three day break in Sprintweek action.
