Lucas Oil Products Driver Mat Neely Ready for Budweiser Oval Nationals

FAIRMOUNT, Indiana (November 1, 2006) -- Mat Neely and the 2B Racing Lucas Oil Products Gaerte-powered Maxim Chassis team have been in California for two weeks, preparing for the final two weekends of USAC National Sprint Car points racing.

This weekend is the 2006 Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals at the famed Perris Auto Speedway, the race that could be the turning point for the 2006 USAC points chase.

Only thirty-two points out of third place and a mere seventy-seven points out of second place, Neely will be fighting for every single point on the race track both this weekend and next.

"I'm confident that if we can get a good run this weekend and next weekend, we have a shot at a great points finish, which will only help to give us momentum for 2007" stated Neely from California.

Thursday and Friday are preliminary nights, both with a twenty-five lap feature and Saturday's main event will run forty laps around the half-mile track.
