Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Preview: Eldora Speedway

The Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series visit the famed Eldora Speedway this week for two full nights of racing this week on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12. The half-mile has been a staple on the schedule since the series inaugural season in 1978.

There have been a total of 29 drivers victorious in A-Feature event with the World of Outlaws at Eldora Speedway dating back to 1978. There are 10 current drivers that have been victorious at the track which is owned by two-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart.

Craig Dollansky and Jason Meyers lead the series into Eldora as they are separated by just a single marker atop the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series standings. Meyers was victorious at Eldora last season, as was Steve Kinser, Paul McMahan, Joey Saldana and Donny Schatz.

Dollansky won twice at the track in 2006 and has five overall wins at Eldora in his career. Other current World of Outlaws drivers that have visited the winner's circle at the high-banked track include: Jac Haudenschild, Danny Lasoski, Daryn Pittman, Tim Shaffer and Jason Sides.

Each event will be a full racing program, featuring time trials, heats races, the Crane Cams Dash, as well as a C-Main if needed, a B-Main and an A-Feature, with full championship points on the line as well, with $10,000 going to the winner on each night.
