During of the second leg, Antony Warmbold who was defending his 10th position was unfortunately forced to withdraw after being off road. But paradoxically this retirement was auspicious for the rest of the season.
Indeed, on the way of the service park after the SS9, Antony detected a bad distribution of the power between the driving wheels. So the team finds the solution and modified the set-up, which radically changed the Warmbold's Ford Focus WRC. Maybe too optimistic, Antony went off on SS11, but the modifications were very satisfactory. Now the driver and all the team cannot wait to be in Greece in order to evaluate the new potential of the car after this huge change.
Antony Warmbold:
"We find what wasn't working on that car, so we are very
happy! After the service park, I did not recognize my car in SS 10, it was
the day and the night... Our Ford Focus WRC is much more efficient! I was a
too enthusiastic in the SS12, I was too fast and a jump send me into a
ditch. hopefully the car is not damaged. We are waiting for the Greece,
because with this modification, all will be different... it is a new start
for us!"
planté dans un fossé, heureusement la voiture n'est pas tellement endommagée. Vivement la Grece, car la avec cette modification, tout va etre différent. c'est un nouveau départ pour nous ! >
