WSS: Team Alstare Assen Friday notes

XAVIER READY TO POUNCE.

Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Xavier Simeon finished third quickest after first qualifying and is ready for an improvement in tomorrrow's final qualifying. Despite a small crash, fortunately without injury, Xavier is confident about his prospects at Assen this weekend. Nicola Canepa (Ducati) set the day's fastest lap, with a time of 1:48.042, with Andrea Antonelli (Honda) second.

For some reason, my bike didn't work so well here today, compared to when I raced here earlier this year. That's probably because the conditions are different - today was much warmer. But, it's something we will work on tomorrow and I'm sure we'll be in good shape for the race. I'm not sure why I crashed today. The front just tucked in and I was on the floor before I knew it. But, I didn't hurt myself so that's OK. I feel tomorrow will be a much better day.
