First WTCC pole position for Felix Porteiro at Brno

16/06/2007 - Felix Porteiro obtained on the Brno track his first career pole position in the World Touring Car Championship (2:11.584). A result that awards BMW Team Italy-Spain men, who have always believed in their potential and in the chance of putting one of their cars in front of everyone else.

Very good performance of Alessandro Zanardi too that, with the fourth position (2:12:145), gives another satisfaction to a team that is ready to fight for the victory in tomorrow races.

"It is amazing! WTCC is a very competitive championship, whereby one or two tenths of a second make a huge difference. To get the pole position in my debut race is an astonishing result.

Now we need to concentrate on tomorrow's races to conclude the weekend on the highest place of the podium".
