"We could say that I had some luck in Rydell being stripped of the pole. However, I was close to him in qualifying and today I was competitive so in that sense it wasn't only luck. In Race 1 it was difficult to keep Augusto (Farfus) behind me and for the second part of the first race my front tyres were deteriorating. My second race was very short because I had an accident with a SEAT in the first corner and could not continue."

"I haven't had a lot of luck this season and I was hoping this weekend would be my weekend but it was not to be. The races showed that the Alfa Romeos were very fast so I am quite pleased I beat them in qualifying; being dropped 10 places on the grid was hard though. When the second race began I realised the Alfas had great pace and so in the end I settled for 3rd."

"This weekend has been successful in the sense that I turned a three point deficit into a three point lead in the championship. However, it is disappointing I can't realistically fight for the win due to the amount of weight I have on board. So, if you can't fight for the win or be on the podium you have to finish as close to that as you can. While it's slightly frustrating from a racing point of view, 5th place is almost like a victory because you're scoring good points."

"I hoped to challenge the Alfas in the first race but that plan was soon out of the question when I badly damaged my rear suspension. To be the first independent to finish on the podium this season is fantastic though. I am a little disappointed in the second race. To be honest I made an optimistic move on Tom (Coronel) at turn 1 and went wide. A few corners later I was hit by someone else and that was the end for me. Overall this has been an amazing weekend."

"The first race saw me and Ryan (Sharp) in a good battle for 3rd place. He defended very cleverly so I couldn't get past despite pushing until the last lap. In Race 2 I braked very late at turn 1 and I could see Ryan try to out-brake me but go straight on. After that I moved up from 6th, then 5th, then 4th but at this point my rear shock absorber broke and I had to focus on finishing for the points."
