Eastern Creek: Jonathan Summerton Friday notes

Summerton P1 in A1GP Rookie test Australia

Team USA's driver Jonathan Summerton finished the session in Position 1 at the Eastern Creek Track, Sydney, Australia. Starting each of the two 25 minute sessions Jonathan had the job of bedding in brake pads, which, in heavy rain, on an unknown track is a difficult job.

However, towards the end of the two sessions Jonathan started to lay fast laps moving up to 5th, then 2nd, and in the last lap position 1.

When asked about Australia and the car Jonathan said, "It was hairy out there at times, you struggled to see, all in all, though, it was fun. Team USA put a great car together and I think we will do well in the races. Hopefully I have helped Phil have a good set up. Australia is a really cool and clean country. Thanks to A1GP and Team USA for allowing me to drive".

Jonathan flies back to the states on Monday.
