Shanghai -- Half the field topped the timing sheet this morning in the last official practice session of the A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Shanghai International Circuit, China. With France, USA, Great Britain, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Australia, South Africa and Indonesia all spending time at the top of the table, this was one of the most competitive sessions in the first A1GP season.
A1 Team Indonesia put in the fastest lap of the session with a time of 1.52.418, clearly demonstrating how the first A1GP season has seen the development of some of the less well known motorsport nations. Competition will be intense this afternoon as the Teams battle for Sprint race grid positions in a series of four 15 minute Qualifying sessions.
