ALLI OWENS FOURTH FASTEST IN KENTUCKY TEST

Sparta, Ky. (July 1, 2008) -The ARCA RE/MAX Series held an open test today at Kentucky Speedway and series rookie Alli Owens turned in the fourth fastest lap with an unofficial speed of 174.081 mph. The series returns to the 1.5 mile speedway on July 18 for the ARCA RE/MAX 150.

"We had a rocket ship today," said Owens, driver of the No. 12 ElectrifyingCareers.com Chevrolet. "I have a lot of confidence heading into the race. This was my first visit to Kentucky Speedway and I didn't know what to expect. I learned a lot including that I really like this place."

The Daytona Beach, Fla. native's day was not without incident. In her final run, the 19-year-old made contact with the turn three wall. The team expects repairs to be made in time for the race.

"I'm disappointed that the car has some damage but overall I have to be pleased," added Owens. "Everyone on the team did a fantastic job. The car came off the truck fast and it just kept getting better and better."
