Lloyd Prepped to Perform in Season Finale

Mooresville, NC (Oct. 7, 2009)-Sporting a new racecar and a new number, Justin Lloyd will take on Rockingham Speedway and the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Sunday's season finale American 200 will mark the 17-year-old's first time racing around the one-mile oval.

After a hard lick with the outside retaining wall at Toledo in September left Lloyd's primary car totaled, the team rallied and built a brand new car from the ground up for this weekend's event. The team attempted to test their new piece at the track on Monday, but weather interfered and hindered Justin from getting the valuable laps he needed to shake down the car. Though the young driver has never wheeled his car around Rockingham, he's confident his No. 09 Chevy will be fast for this weekend's event.

"Since it's my first time at Rockingham, I just want to learn as much as I can," Lloyd stated. "We're going to have a fast racecar, and I'm going to go out there and have fun."

Venturini Motorsports will assist in fielding Lloyd's machine for the race, which will be his third career start. In his prior two starts this season, Justin ran competitively among series veterans and posted an eighth place finish in his first start at Berlin Speedway in July.
