MMONTEREY, Calif. (9/5/95) -- SpeedNet -- The fight for the 1995 Player's Ltd./Toyota Atlantic title between Richie Hearn (185 points) and David Empringham (183) is not the only title up for grabs this weekend at Laguna Seca.
Another battle going down to the wire is the fight for Rookie of the Year honors. Zeca Giaffone has a single-point lead over broth Felipe Giaffone and a 13-point edge on rising star Lee Bentham. Also, Bernie Schuchmann has a 21-point lead in Category 2 standings over Mike David, with a maximum of 22 points to be awarded.
The Player's Ltd./Toyota Atlantic schedule for Toyota Grand Prix of Monterey at Laguna Seca is as follows:
Test Day Thursday Sept. 7 10:20am to 4:20pm
Qualifying Friday Sept. 8 4:45pm to 5:16pm
Saturday Sept. 9 10:15am to 10:45am
Race Saturday Sept. 9 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Prize Money: $85,000 -- Winners Purse: $22,000
