LAZZARO HEADS FOR 12 HOURS OF SEBRING ONE WIN RICHER
ACWORTH, Ga. (March 11) - - Anthony Lazzaro returns to the IMSA circuit with even more momentum than he left with after last month's Rolex 24 weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Lazzaro won the opening round of the KOOL/TOYOTA Atlantic Championship at Homestead, Fla., on March 1, and hopes to continue his success in the IMSA Endurance Championship and the Exxon Supreme GT races this weekend at Sebring International Raceway. "We really started the year out well at Daytona," Lazzaro said of second and fifth place finishes. "The win at Homestead in the Atlantic car was great and I hope we can bring some results like that here to Sebring. Franz Blam had John Milner do the engines for the Endurance Championship BMW car and that means the car will only be better. It was a great car last time out and we did very little to it. "Angelo Cilli's Porsche 911 that Alex Job prepared was equally flawless, especially considering that race was twelve times longer than the Endurance Championship race! We're looking to a busy weekend and then I'll resume testing in the Atlantic car."
