Satisfying tests despite of technical difficulties

Atlantic pre-season tests continued on 10.-11. March at Laguna Seca. Markus Niemela and his team Brooks Associates suffered from technical difficulties in beginning of the test, which ruined the first of two day sessions (Monday). On Tuesday they were able to concentrate totally on testing and ended up being one of the fastest on Tuesday afternoon.

Niemela: "We had some problems in the car that were not down to team or myself, just bad luck. Because of these problems we got bit behind to start with and everyone needed to work really hard to catch up which we managed to do. I'm very happy that team recovered quickly from the difficulties and Tuesday afternoon I was already one of the fastest and missed 2nd position just by 0.06 seconds. Unfortunately I ruined my new tyre run by going off the track and damaging my car slightly. Therefore my best laptime was actually done on old tyres. I believe we should be in quite good shape at the moment."

Niemela's position on Tuesday morning was 11th and on the afternoon 5th. Fastest time in the morning session was done by Dane Cameron and in the afternoon by Carl Skerlong.
