A bad accident in qualifying destroys Atte's chances in the second race

Raikkonen Robertson Racing's (Double R) F3 driver, Atte Mustonen came seventh in Saturday's British F3 round at Bucharest in Hungary. Atte was forced to retire from Sunday's race due to damage caused by a crash in qualifying.

Atte once again had to put up with a woefully slow car at Bucharest. He qualified seventh for the first race and then in the second qualifying session a front suspension unit collapsed, bumping the car off the track and into a wall. The car was totalled and Atte had to start the second race from 21st, or last, on the grid.

The first three home in Saturday's race were all Carlin Motorsport drivers. Brendon Hartley won the race, with Oliver Turvey second and Jaime Alguersuari third. Mustonen was seventh.

Atte retired from Sunday's race, as his car's handling had suffered so much from the crash in qualifying. The Carlin Motorsport team once again made a clean sweep of the podium places. Jaime Alguersuari won the race, Oliver Turvey was second and Brendon Hartley third.

"We're just not quick enough," said Atte after the meeting.

Mustonen is currently fifth in the points standings, on 134 points. Oliver Turvey leads the series with 222 points. The last race of the season will be at Donington on 12.10.
