CONWAY LINES UP GP2 TEST PROGRAMME
Kent, UK-29 September 2006: Newly crowned British Formula 3 Champion Mike Conway has confirmed three GP2 tests in the upcoming months.
The Kent driver said he is aiming to build on the experience gained as a GP2 guest driver for DPR at the Silverstone GP in June and is looking forward to accruing some more mileage in the car.
"I've had a bit of time in the car, which is helpful ahead of the first test following straight on from F3. I'm just looking to get as much experience as possible this year because if we do GP2 next year then it will put us in a good position."
The Sevenoaks driver will test with Arden International at Paul Ricard next week, followed by a two-day outing with the Norwich-based iSport International in November in Jerez. In December the 2MB-managed driver will be in the car in Valencia with the French outfit ART Grand Prix.
"I'm just aiming to learn from each day that I do and just get a really good feel for the car. Hopefully I can really get on top of the car and learn some new circuits. I'm looking forward to testing with the teams, hopefully we'll do a good job," he said.
