The team led by Olaf Manthey didn't take any risks in the final hour of the race: with less than 15 minutes to go before the 24 hour mark, the two Porsches turned into the pit box for a final routine check before taking on the final kilometres together a couple of minutes later. The drivers of the Audi R8 LMS cars, Abt Sportsline and Phoenix Racing each having entered two, thanked the fans around the legendary Nurburgring-Nordschleife with a farewell-lap in closed formation. At 16.08 h, the winning Porsche 911 GT3 RSR with starting number 1 took the chequered flag as the winner of the 37th ADAC Zurich 24h race. For Olaf Manthey, it was the fourth overall win in a row. Marcel Tiemann claimed his fifth win, which makes him the solemn record winner. The Abt Sportsline Audi R8 LMS (# 97) came second, Manthey's Cup S-Porsche completed the podium.
