The OrangeArrows team had a tough qualifying session in Melbourne today. Jos Verstappen will start tomorrow's Australian Grand Prix from 15th position on the grid and team-mate Enrique Bernoldi will be three places behind him in 18th position.

Jos Verstappen Position 15th Best Time 1:29.934 Chassis No. A22-01 T-Car Chassis A22-04 "Well we tried really hard today and I think we did the best job we could considering. We lost a lot of time in This morning's practice sessions due to an electrical problem with the gearbox. The team did a great job fixing my car for the end of the second session but we lost valuable set-up time, which didn't help us in qualifying. I was also blocked at the first corner on my last flying lap but we'll have to just get on with it and try our best tomorrow."

Enrique Bernoldi Position 18th Best Time 1:30.520 Chassis No. A22-03 "Generally we were doing okay but on the out lap of my last run there was a lot of traffic and I couldn't get enough temperature into the front tyres which slowed me down on my quick lap. Tomorrow will be challenging, starting from 18th position on the grid but this is a tough race on cars so who knows what will happen tomorrow."

Mike Coughlan, Technical Director, OrangeArrows "I have to say that we're disappointed as we should have been in the top 12 today. We've got a lot of work to do with our partners at Asiatech and we've also suffered from lack of testing. We'll work hard and should be in a much better position very soon but it's not ideal to start the season playing 'catch-up'. The first race of the year can always throw up a few surprises so we can still hope for a good day tomorrow."

Didier Debae, Asiatech "The experience gained in today's qualifying will help Asiatech to progress. All the testing carried out with our partner has improved the package, but nothing can beat competition to enable us to see where we stand in relation to our rivals. We know we've got a lot of work to do."

Weather: Warm and sunny. Ambient temperature 24C
