The second day of B.A.R Honda's test in Jerez began this morning with the extremely hot weather conditions continuing. Jenson Button and Takuma Sato joined the test today, running in chassis 007-06 and 007-01 respectively.

Jenson spent the morning running through an aerodynamic evaluation. He had a productive morning and completed his full programme, although his last run was aborted due to Heikki Kovaleinan's engine failure which covered a large section of the track with oil. Jenson completed a total of 52 laps in the morning session.

Takuma ran through a series of suspension evaluations, alongside a brake test. He completed 50 laps during the morning.

Both drivers spent the afternoon session running through a Michelin tyre evaluation in preparation for the French Grand Prix next weekend. With the temperatures at the circuit reaching an extremely hot 36°C air temperature and 54°C track temperature, Jenson completed a further 63 laps which brought his final lap tally for the day to 115 laps. He also set the second fastest time of the day -- a 01:17.572.

Takuma completed a further 70 laps, bringing his total to an impressive 120 laps today, including two long runs at the end of the day. Takuma set the fastest time of the afternoon session and the third fastest time overall - a 01:17.731.
