Michael Schumacher was forced to delay his first serious test in the new Ferrari F310 because of a gearbox problems. Later, he also suffered an engine failure while driving one of last year's cars. "I've always said that we won't win the championship this year and I have not changed my opinion," he said. "We are not well prepared and the other teams have been here testing and sorting out their reliability. "But, when you don't launch your car until the middle of February, you are always going to be up against time." Gerhard Berger only managed a single lap in the Benetton- Renault.
