Fourth day of testing at Fiorano for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Today, as yesterday, both Luca Badoer and Michael Schumacher were in action.

The Italian driver continued with development work on new electronic solutions in preparation for new regulations which come into force for the forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix. At the wheel of a F1-2000, Badoer completed 32 laps, including 17 on the short circuit. His best lap was a 1.00.283. He also did 10 practice starts. At the end of the day, Badoer also stepped into the car Schumacher had been using up to that point. He completed 15 laps with a best time of 1.00.203.

Michael Schumacher for his part, continued with preparing the F2001 for the San Marino Grand Prix, working mainly on tyres and aerodynamics. The world champion completed 104 laps (9 on the short circuit) with a best time of 0.59.071. He did also 3 practice starts.

The day's testing began at 9.45 and ended at 19.30. Both Badoer and Schumacher continue testing tomorrow.
